Details

The Fremont Police Department, in partnership with Crossfit Jigsaw, will be hosting the third annual "Barbells and Badges" on June 8, 2019, to benefit the 100 Club of Alameda County. The mission of the 100 Club of Alameda County is to provide immediate financial assistance to the families of Police Officers and Firefighters killed in the line of duty. It is also the mission of the club to provide college scholarships for the children as well as an annual Holiday gift.

Divisions will consist of Public Safety (Sworn Police, Dispatchers, Fire or EMT) and then General Public. Any Public Safety personnel that wish to partner with Non-Public Safety will need to register under the General Public Division.

The event will be limited to 20 teams of 2 for each division so early registration is recommended! Teams may be made up in any combination (male/male, male/female, female/female). The workouts will be programmed accordingly. Prizes will be awarded to podium finishers!

#1 - "Holding cell"
As many rounds as possible in 10 minutes
30/21 Calorie row (each team member)
60 Deadlift (185#/125#) (as a team)
*1 person working at a time. Each partner must complete calorie row while a partner holds top of a deadlift. 2 calorie penalty if you drop the hold while the partner is rowing
*After all team members complete row you can begin deadlifts
Score is rounds completed + additional reps

#2 - "Ponch"
As many rounds as possible in 9 minutes
12/9 Calorie Assault Bike
9 Axle bar power clean (110#/70#)
6 Dumbbell thruster (45#/25#)
*1 partner completes a full round then tags next partner
Score is rounds + additional reps completed

#3 - "Crowd Control"
For time (15 minute cap)
150 Ground to overhead (75#/55#)
125 Box Jump
100 Toes 2 bar
*1 person working at a time
Score is time or time cap + reps not completed

#4 - "Foot chase"
For time 3 rounds 20 minute cap
300/210 meter Ski Erg
P1 - 200 meter kettlebell carry (53#/35#)
P2 - 200 meter Sandbag carry (80#/60#)
P3 - 300 meter obstacle run
*Round 1 - P1 completes Ski then begins kettlebell carry, P2 completes ski then sandbag carry, P3 completes Ski then 300 obstacle meter run.
*Round 2 - P2 completes Ski then begins kettlebell carry, P3 completes ski then sandbag carry, P1 completes Ski then 300 meter obstacle run.
*Round 3 - P3 completes Ski then begins kettlebell carry, P1 completes ski then sandbag carry, P2 completes Ski then 300 meter obstacle run.
