Join us on Sunday, August 26th for our 4th annual SGV Throwdown presented by CrossFit West Covina. We would like to gather our entire community for some fun competition. Athletes from all CrossFit gyms are encouraged to join in the festivities and have some fun. Last year we had over 15 gyms representing and over 100 Athletes.

Teams must be same sex.

4 Divisions: Advanced, Intermediate, Beginner and Masters.

All participants will compete in 3 events, 2 Workouts, 1 Floater

Check in begins at 6:30 am & Athlete briefing starts at 7:30 am .

will be the last workout of the day! In this workout there will be two scores
1) Max Cals Bike + Bar Muscle Ups
2) Total Weight lifted by both partners

In this workout you will start with 2min of max effort cal bike (one bike), this will lead to 8min for Partner 1 to establish 1RM Clean n Jerk and Partner 2 to establish 1RM Snatch (one barbell), finish off with 2min of max effort

Total Weight Score Standards
During this 8min portion two Max Effort weights will be established a 1 Rep Max Clean and Jerk (power is allowed) 1 Rep Max Snatch (power is allowed)

Key Points
1)There will only be one barbell used
2) You may load the barbell to your first attempt prior to the workout
3) There can only be one score entered for the SNATCH weight
4) There can only be one score entered for the Clean N JERK weight
5) If one member does not have a successful lift that members score will be (zero)

3) Add both the 2min Max Efffort Calories on Bike (rogue echo) + 2min Max Effort Gymnastic Movements (depending on division)

30 Sandbag Toss Over the Blocks (41/37 inches)
40 Burpees (hands must touch behind head)
50 Cal SKi

This workout is continuous, if you are able to finish one round, you will continue back to another set of SandBag Tosses, Burpees, and Ski. Your Score is the total amount of Reps Completed.

Key Points
1) Reps can be split however you'd like during the workout
2) SandBag Must hit other side of block to be a rep
3) Burpees are complete when you stand vertical, hands must touch behind head
This will be the (tiebreaker) workout. Incase there is a tie this workout will decide the winner. Good Luck! The sandBag and Blocks are available at CrossFit West Covina for practice.

The workout will begin with a Buy In Row 1400m Row for Men and 1100m Row for Woman. The monitor will be pre-set to distance that must be achieved. What ever the screen scores you as your exact time will be your score. You are allowed to set the damper to whatever setting you'd like. You are welcome to switch as many times as you'd like. After the row the rest of the workout begins

Reps Completed Standards
After the Row, with the remainder of the time you will complete as man reps as possible of the workout. Each round consisting of 66 reps and finish after the DB Snatches. After each round you and your partner will be responsible for adding weight to your barbell (depending on division). If all four rounds are completed, burpees will be done to add reps to your score. Workout ends at 16min mark.
