Welcome to the GrizzFit Games! THIS IS THE TEAM REGISTRATION. THERE ARE ONLY 10 SPOTS OPEN FOR TEAMS to start
2 men and 2 women per team. Please send your roster to email@example.com by June 15th, 2016. THERE ARE NO SCALED TEAM DIVISIONS
Registration for the GrizzFit Games will include a ticket for the Fresno Grizzlies Doubleheader that Night, July 9th, 2016.
-Teams of four (4) will each receive a one (1) ticket per person to the games.
-Additional spectator tickets can be purchased at a discounted rate of $10 per ticket through the additional tickets purchase option.
-Tickets will be located in the Field Level Reserved section of Chukchansi Park.
-Doubleheader will start at 5:05pm on July 9th.
All Competitors & Spectators are encouraged to stay and enjoy the Fresno Grizzlies game/
Both Individual and Team RX level should be able to complete the following CrossFit® WODS at an RX level: (These are NOT workout hints, just skills and weight levels)
Kalsu (yes... Kalsu)
Movements you should be comfortable with at the RX level:
ALL basic and fundamental movements at standard RX levels (as an example.... 135 lb Clean and Jerk for Grace, etc) (yup that's a lot of stuff to know)
Finalists- All advanced movements at the standard RX levels for current wods (Yup, that's a s**t ton of movements too)
Scaled should be able to complete wods as we write them without too many problems. Have the basics down and prepare for the unexpectedsmile emoticon
WE DO NOT USE BANDS AT OUR COMPETITIONS- PERIOD.
Our workouts will be posted ONE WEEK prior to the event.
If I were an athlete looking to sign up for the GrizzFit Games, I would NOT expect what I am USED TO at a competition. what I WOULD expect is something different, something where I have to be a balanced athlete and not just good in one domain or another. I would expect that once I start, I will not stop until I am DONE. (what????) Yes... once you start, you will NOT have to re-warm up. You will NOT have to roll out between events because you won't have a chance to.
What I am getting at is that this competition will be different than you are used to. It will not be the same as every other competition out there. YOU WILL BE CHALLENGED in new ways... and really, isn't that what this is all about? Testing your limits of fitness? Don't you WANT something new and different? I'm not speaking about the movements, but how the competition is planned. It will be very unique in it's nature.
