Registration for the GrizzFit Games will include a ticket for the Fresno Grizzlies Doubleheader that Night, July 9th, 2016.
-Teams of four (4) will each receive a one (1) ticket per person to the games.
-Additional spectator tickets can be purchased at a discounted rate of $10 per ticket through the additional tickets purchase option.
-Tickets will be located in the Field Level Reserved section of Chukchansi Park.
-Doubleheader will start at 5:05pm on July 9th.
All Competitors & Spectators are encouraged to stay and enjoy the Fresno Grizzlies game/
Movements you should be comfortable with at the RX level:
ALL basic and fundamental movements at standard RX levels (as an example.... 135 lb Clean and Jerk for Grace, etc)
Finalists- All advanced movements at the standard RX levels for current wods (Yup, that's a s**t ton of movements)
Scaled should be able to complete wods as we write them without too many problems. Have the basics down and prepare for the unexpected
WE DO NOT USE BANDS AT OUR COMPETITIONS- PERIOD.
If I were an athlete looking to sign up for the GrizzFit Games, I would NOT expect what I am USED TO at a competition. what I WOULD expect is something different, something where I have to be a balanced athlete and not just good in one domain or another. I would expect that once I start, I will not stop until I am DONE. (what????) Yes... once you start, you will NOT have to re-warm up. You will NOT have to roll out between events because you won't have a chance to.
What I am getting at is that this competition will be different than you are used to. It will not be the same as every other competition out there. YOU WILL BE CHALLENGED in new ways... and really, isn't that what this is all about? Testing your limits of fitness? Don't you WANT something new and different? I'm not speaking about the movements, but how the competition is planned. It will be very unique in it's nature.
INDIVIDUALS: RX and Masters: 3 minutes to establish a 3 RM Hang Clean (legs MUST pass Parallel) rest 2 min 2 minute Max effort farmer Carry with KB (10 m mark) rest 2 min 6 minute AMRAP 5 Chest to Bar Pull-ups 10 Hand Release Push-ups 15 Squat Jumps Rest 2 min 3 minute max effort Box Jump overs REST 5 MINUTES and SWITCH TO AREA 2 5 Minutes to establish 3 RM Shoulder to Overhead rest 2 minutes 8 minute AMRAP (reps) 10 Burpee over bar 15 Deadlifts 20 Double Unders rest 2 minute 3 minutes max effort Wall Balls (scored separate)
Every Pound and Every rep counts towards total score.
You will have one judge go with you the whole process… they will be your scorekeeper the entire time..
