• Why do you train?
On my 39th bday last year my stepmom tells me, "Come w me to Crossfit, I think ull like it." She was so right... I was immediately addicted. Annie lit my endorphins up that day unlike anything I had experienced in awhile. I had been an athlete my entire life, but that moment I knew I had found a challenge I wanted to experience over and over again. I started 2 days a week, then 3... then 4 ... then everyday my box was open and even twice a day. I began to develop amazing friendships w my Crossfit girl squad and support that extended far beyond encouragement during our daily WODs... My first competition was June 2017 The Girls of Summer Katy partner competition. My partner was awesome and I felt this indescribable rush. My second competition was July 2017 My Mommy is Stronger Than Your Mommy individual competition. I knew I had finally found what I had been missing. As a working professional and single mommy of 6, I had so much overwhelming stress... I often felt beat down even somewhat unaccomplished. I love that every day I can walk into my box, push myself as hard as I can (always harder than I thought I could) and leave it ALL on the floor. To me Crossfit has become more than increasing physical strength and endurance. With the support of my amazing coaches and Crossfit family, I am and will be stronger (in so many ways) today than I was yesterday.
