Crossfit Drive is excited to host the Autumn Rookie Throwdown
this November. This competition is for athletes who have been Crossfitting for
one year or less. Teams will be made up of two same sex athletes who will be
participating in 3 wods. The top 5 men’s teams and top 5 women’s teams will go head to head
in a final wod. We’re going to have food and vendors and an all around awesome
time-- grab a partner and help us kick off Fall with this rookie Throwdown!
7 Minute AMRAP:
10 thrusters (95/65)
10 bar over burpees
other partner holds a plank; must complete a full round before trading off
12 minute AMRAP:
40 hand release pushups
30 deadlifts (155/105)
20 box jumps (24/20) - can do step ups
Only one partner working at a time; total reps completed is your score
7 minute AMRAP (total):
First 5 minutes: partners have 5 minutes total to find a 3 rep max touch and go power clean for each person. Then immediately change your own weight for next part -
Last 2 minutes: max effort (as many reps as possible) shoulder to overhead (96/65) - must pass bar back and forth, if bar hits the ground it is a 3 burpee penalty for both partners
FINAL WOD for top 5 mens and womens teams will be released the day of the competition!
A couple of important notes:
There will be no spectator parking or tent setup in the Crossfit Drive parking lot.
Athlete check-in will begin at 6:30am and the athlete meeting will be at 7:30 am. First WOD starts @ 8am.
Vendors - you can start set-up at 6:30 as well.
